Privacy notice

FixFolk is run by WebEstate (team@webestate.co.uk). This notice covers the enquiry form on FixFolk pages.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect your name, phone number, email address, the postcode of the job and your message.

Why

We pass your enquiry to the independent business named on the page so they can reply to you. This is needed to respond to your request. That business then handles your details under its own privacy terms. When a job is finished the business may ask us to send you one email asking you to rate the work; you do not have to reply.

The chat assistant

The assistant on area pages is automated. What you type is processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) under its business terms to write the replies. Your details are only sent to the business when you check the summary and press Send. If you send an enquiry, the conversation is kept with it so the business understands the job.

Reviews

If you leave a review using a link from a business, we publish your rating, review, the name you give and, if you add them, your town, the work done and the month. Your email address is never shown; we use it to stop duplicate reviews and to contact you about your review if needed. Ask us at any time to remove your review.

How long

We keep enquiries for up to 24 months so we can check that enquiries are answered, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete your details by emailing team@webestate.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
